I own a Epson 835, replaced all cartridges by cloned ones and just can’t get them recognized. Thanks for any help or tip

Being a student with financial struggles, having to deal with an old Epson Artisan 730 has become a nightmare both with the difficulty of use and sourcing of affordable ink. I had some clone cartridges from a long time ago that I put in, bought a real black ink cartridge (I was missing), and none of them are detected. “Speed & Progress…” can be found under the Maintenance tab, however this method has yet to show results sadly.

Hello. I believe the best way is to start with knock off inks. You also never want to update their firmware, or it will reject some clones being use.

I agree with the other posts here. I am furious over this issue. I purchased an Epson All-in-One and it worked fine using compatible ink cartridges. One day a firmware update came and installed itself. From that day on, my compatible ink cartridges would not work at all. If I had known this action was coming, I would never have purchased this equipment. Now that I know what kind of company Epson is, I will never purchase any of their products again. I have a box of compatible cartridges that are not usable at all. By the way, the compatible cartridges worked identically to the Epson cartridges but for about 60% less cost. I have had to purchase a couple of Epson cartridges since then, but that’s because I’m trying to decide what all-in-one I wish to purchase next. I do know it won’t be an Epson. I see this action as an attack on their customers and extortion to squeeze more money from people who were devoted clients. Way to GO Epson!!

    Hi,
I don’t have the tab “Speed and Progress” available (the printer model is WF – 2750.) Do you have any suggestions?
Thank you in advance for your time.
